You'll Love These Delicious Banana Recipes

The banana recipes on this page are some of my family's favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

The Banana Bar recipe (below) makes approximately 3 dozen bars, so I usually choose this for family parties and other functions. These are very moist, and the cream cheese frosting is delicious! I am always being asked for the recipe.

WINNIE'S BANANA BREAD

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening or butter
2 eggs
1-1/3 cups mashed bananas
2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup walnuts (optional)

Cream sugar and shortening. Add bananas and eggs (unbeaten). Combine flour, salt, and baking soda; add to mixture. Pour into greased 9 X 5 loaf pan. Bake 1 hour @ 350 degrees.
