Double Chocolate Sugar Cookies

These chocolate sugar cookies are quite delicious. If you're a chocolate lover, you'll certainly want to give these a try!

1 12 oz. pkg. of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar

Melt 1 cup choc. chips over low heat, reserving remainder. Set melted chips aside.

Beat butter @ medium speed with mixer until fluffy; gradually add 1 cup sugar. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Add melted morsels; mix well.

Combine flour and next 3 ingredients. Gradually stir into butter mixture. Stir in remaining choc. chips.

Roll dough into balls (1 tbsp. each), roll balls in 1/2 cup sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes approximately 4 1/2 dozen.
