Bathroom Decorating Ideas For A Country Bathroom

Simply by adding country bathroom accessories and using some easy bathroom decorating ideas, you can transform your bathroom into a warm, relaxing retreat.

This transformation can be easily accomplished without incurring a major expense, providing that you aren't in need of a major remodel. For example, a new tub/shower, toilet, or flooring.

Light Fixtures - Replace standard bathroom lighting with country style light fixtures.

Bathroom Walls - Choose a warm color that will coordinate well with your flooring, tub and toilet colors. If you do not want to put alot of color on you walls, bring splashes of color into the room with your towels, wall prints, rugs, curtains and shower curtain.

Wall Decor - Interesting country bathroom prints, decorative wreaths, wooden signs or plaques, decorative shelf or wall cabinet.

Shower Curtain - Use a vinyl liner and a fabric curtain - the vinyl liner can protect your decorative fabric curtain. This is also a feasible decision because the vinyl liner is much less expensive to replace.

There are so many country style shower curtains to choose from. Plaids, country florals, thems like Northwoods or outhouses, etc.

Bathroom Decorative Accessories - Baskets are important for storage and decorative purposes - the mere appearance of baskets immediately "says" country. If you have the space, you can neatly roll towels and place them in a basket. This looks great, and of course, very functional, too.

Choose two or perhaps 3 colors for your towels and display them on your country towel bars or place them in baskets. There is a really nice item that I like for keeping towels in the bathroom. It is a rack that you hang on the wall with space to roll towels and place them on it.

Magazine baskets or a nice wall rack are important for keeping good reading material.

Bathroom rugs can be coordinated with your shower curtain and towels.

Don't forget to add a candle or two to the bathroom. They have a soft lighting affect, as well as, offer a pleasing scent. They are very a very important accessory, especially when relaxing in the tub.

Another nice country bathroom accessory, if space allows, would be a county cabinet for storing towels and other bathroom essentials. A wooden pie safe or dry sink could be the pieces to look for.
